A personal food hero of mine, and one I’ve enjoyed watching and learning from as part of the River Cottage team. I am delighted to announce that curing & smoking expert, teacher, presenter, culinary consultant and award-winning author Steven Lamb will be our master of ceremonies, main stage maestro and all round chief raconteur.
Steven’s food career began nearly 20 years ago when he joined Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s river cottage team, regularly appearing in the tv series and being instrumental in establishing the internationally acclaimed cookery school on the Devon / Dorset border. Steven is the author of two books, the award winning bestseller River Cottage: Curing & Smoking and more recently River Cottage: Cheese & Dairy and was a contributor to the River Cottage A-Z of Ingredients Bible
Now, as an internationally renowned expert who is always keen to share his knowledge, Steven regularly teaches at some of the leading uk cookery schools including River Cottage, and will be hosting the 54ºNORTH main stage, talking to our farmers, master butchers, fire makers and chefs and introducing their stories.
